At The Rising Sun, our menu brings together everything a proper modern pub should offer: bold flavours, generous plates and plenty of choice, whether you’re joining us for breakfast, a relaxed lunch or an evening with friends.

Start with a few small plates for the table, from chicken wings with JD BBQ or Buffalo & blue sauce to hot honey halloumi fries, bang bang cauliflower and loaded potato skins. Or keep things classic with a prawn cocktail served with our Bloody Mary Rose sauce.

Our pub favourites include ale battered fish & chips, steak & ale pie, bangers & mash and Jack Daniel’s hunters chicken. You’ll also find The Grande Carbonara with Romsey pork and Old Winchester cheese, warming chilli con carne and a sweet potato and goat’s cheese pie.

For something stacked and satisfying, explore our brioche burgers, from The Don smash burger to the Ox Block with beef dipping gravy, or the Sticky Devil with smoked bacon, jalapeño cheese and bacon & raspberry jam.

Then there’s Floretti Pizza: stonebaked, made to order and full of personality. Try The Donald with crispy duck and hoisin, The Matador with birria beef and chipotle gravy, or Billy Goat’s Gruff with goat’s cheese, caramelised red onion and hot honey.

Lunchtimes are covered with filled ciabattas, generously topped jacket potatoes and chicken Caesar salad. And with breakfast served until 2pm, there’s plenty of time for a full cooked breakfast, a bacon bap or our sausage, bacon, egg and cheese Breakfast Stack.

Save room for something sweet, from sticky toffee pudding and triple chocolate brownie to crème brûlée, lemon tart or a scoop of New Forest ice cream.
